In addition to protecting the rights of members, safeguarding the professional ethics of members, and studying and solving problems common to the category represented, the association is involved in promoting the area through cultural activities such as tours, conferences, congresses, publications, and refresher courses.

Its presence in the area is now well-established and recognizable, both by tour operators and institutions. Over the years, in fact, the Catania Guide Association has conducted guided tours of city-run sites at the festivals of “The Night of the Museums”, in addition to having had the custody for the guided tours of the Ursino Castle’s Civic Museum, the Crypt of Sant’Euplio and the Church of San Nicolò La Rena.
